Number 1 Family Estate, established 1996, is a boutique Methode Champenoise winery, situated on Marlborough’s “Golden Mile” – Rapaura Road.  It is the only Marlborough winery specialising in the production of Methode Traditionelle. Number 1 Family Estate , are committed to producing premium Methode Traditionelle made only in the strictest methods stipulated in the stringent rules laid down by, Champagne in France.

Representing good luck, achievement, abundance and success in Chinese numerology, Number Eight becomes a complimentary stablemate to our trophy-winning Nº 1. The colours red, gold and black according to feng shui have all the same symbolic references as the number eight.

An easy-drinking aperitif style, this wine was blended from 70% Pinot Noir and 30% Chardonnay, then held on lees for 3 years.  It is fresh and inviting with sophisticated champagne-like characters, intense flavours, and a long finish.
